Can I resize an image in Markdown?

Standard Markdown has no width or height syntax. The common workaround is to use an HTML tag with width/height attributes — most renderers, including ours, accept inline HTML in Markdown source.

Are SVG images supported?

Yes for HTML and PDF output, as long as the URL serves the SVG with the correct content-type. SVG support in Word export is limited by the .docx format itself.

Why does my image show up in the preview but not the PDF?

The most common cause is that the image URL requires authentication or has a Referer-Policy header that blocks cross-origin loads. Try the URL in a private browser window — if it does not load there, the PDF will not load it either.

Should I use absolute or relative image URLs?

For shareable Markdown, use absolute URLs (https://...). Relative paths only resolve correctly inside the directory where the source lives, which the converter and any downstream tool cannot reproduce.
